Although we're over seven months away from October, and thus, Halloween, we here at DatComics still like to touch base with the macabre every once in a while and love to conceive of new and innovative ways to bring our characters to life.
We recently had a longtime supporter/friend commission us into creating our very first E-comic. Although the E-comic was a custom request to a particular mature-themed taste, the whole process started to broaden the horizons of what Mr. Apple and I originally perceived as the "only" mode of storytelling for our characters being comedy ... but then we started thinking, "Why not mainstream horror?"
Though still early in concept, we would love to eventually create gothic-horror style E-comics with Tracy and Dottie at the helm.
The following images represent Dottie and Tracy reimagined as heroines in particularly twisted realities: Dottie being haunted by a spectral apparition, followed by Tracy being assailed by a deadly vampire. Let me know what you think.
